Cisco Academy Training Center - CATCs

Ten years ago Cisco began partnering with educational institutions around the world to provide the highest technical as well as pedagogical instruction for IT courses. The Cisco Networking Academy is unique in its approach to instructor training. The Academy utilizes the "trainer of trainers" model. Cisco Learning Institute's contribution is in developing professional development offerings for CATCs.
Today there are over 80 global CATCs, which are the top tier in a three-their model to manage the Cisco Networking Academy. Institutions include secondary schools, community colleges and universities in 165 countries. CATCs are responsible for training Academy Instructors as well as teaching networking classes to students. Cisco Learning Institute partially funds the training efforts in over 50 CATCs on a quarterly basis. We will be featuring the stories of individual CATCs to share the impact being made on the lives of students and the economy of the region. Stories shall be updated monthly.
