Academy Instructor Development

Cisco Learning Institute and Indiana University are collaborating to design a training and professional learning program for Cisco Networking Academy instructors. Analysis of feedback from this community indicates that Academy instructors are requesting additional technical training, guidance in the development of effective strategies for teaching difficult concepts to their students, and direction in actively engaging students in Academy labs.

To address their requests, we are creating instructional resources focusing on the most challenging topics and how to teach those topics. These modules teach instructors how to use pedagogical strategies that have the greatest impact on student learning. We encourage instructors to contribute their own experiences by participating in an online community to share instructional strategies. Instructors will be directly involved in the development of a localized approach to teaching, tailored toward the specific needs of each region, with updates managed by Cisco Learning Institute.
